"The Feeding..."

Friday night Brad and Dave went golfing and us girls ran to Target (where else?!). Then we all went back to Wendi and Dave's for burgers. On the way back I asked Jenna if she wanted to help me feed baby Allee her cereal (she LOVES to help with everything-even the poopiest of diapers). She got a big smile on her face and asked, "Aunt Nae, does baby Allee like frosted Mini-wheats?" So cute! Anyway, when we got back she helped... These pictures evidence what happens when a 3 yr old feeds a 4 month old!

Football Game

Last week Friday Brad and I took Allee to the Fremont-Tri-County Football game (Fremont kicked butt-yea!!!!) Anyway, it was the staff tailgate so she got to meet lots of new people and many of my students just had to stop by and see her-I know she loved the attention bc she was all smiles all night! Our webmaster was there taking pictures and he took this one of Allee and I (she was pretty tired by this time) I thought it was cute :]

We started spoon feeding Allee and here are pics from the first time. As you can see, it was pretty messy and just got plain disgusting when she sneezed! She really has been doing well with it though and has caught on to "eating" quickly.

The first picture was taken in Aug. Allee spent the day at Wendi's and Jenna had gotten a cute book, Pinkalicious, and she just HAD TO read it to Allee.

Pictures Finally!

4 Month Checkup

Just a quick update. Yesterday I took Allee for her 4 month checkup. She weighs 16lbs 13oz and is 26 inches long (95th percentile for both)! The Dr says she is a healthy little girl (duh) and everything looks good. There was some concern on my part about the shape of her head but he feels that as she begins to roll more and enjoy spending more time on her tummy/in an exersaucer/etc... that is will fix itself. We also have the go ahead to start spoon feeding cereal (she's had it in her bottle since 2 months) and start stage 1 foods in a few weeks (I will post pics of her first time eating soon). She also had to have shots, which just breaks my heart, but she survived (of course). I know I need to post pics and will try to do so soon. Oh yea, I almost forgot... When I picked Allee up from my Mom so we could go to the Dr apt. Jenna was there too. She said to me "Anut Nae, does Allee need to get stitches?" Odd I thought, maybe she ment shots??? "No honey she doesn't" Her face lit up and she said, "Oh the Dr will just tell you how tall she is?" She was so relieved! I found out later that her cousin just got stitches on his forehead and that was why she asked--smart kid!

I'm 4 months old...

and I have 2 teeth! Yes, you read right, Allee now has 2 teeth! For awhile she has been drooling and chewing on everything but it got really bad about a week and a half ago. Last weekend we noticed that there was a little white dot where her lower front teeth should be. Sure enough, each day they became more and more white and she now has her two front lower teeth! I tried to take a picture but she kept moving so I will post one as soon as I get a decent one. Other than that, since I have not posted in FOREVER, I am back at work. It is going OK. I am learning how to get us both out the door in the AM, and how to balance getting everything done at night (and letting go of those things that I just don't get to). She has been to daycare 4 days now. The first 2 went great but her teeth and all the changes got the better of her Thursday and Friday and she cried a lot they said (not what a new daycare mom wants to hear-breaks my heart!) I did OK dropping her off, once I handed her over that is. It really helps that there are other teacher's kids there and I know some of the ladies who work there bc I have had their kids in class. Other than that not much is new... oh yeah, she is sleeping through the night now!!!!! (except that I posted it so now she won't) ;] Well I better go plan for tomorrow!
